Alan R. Deroy, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Alan R. Deroy graduated in the top one-fifth of his class at the prestigious Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2001. He completed his residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at St. John North Shores Hospital, Harrison Twp, MI, in 2004, where he was trained to perform today's cutting-edge surgical procedures. He practiced briefly in Woodbridge, VA, prior to joining Renaissance Foot and Ankle Center, PC.
Dr. Deroy is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Maryland Podiatric Medical Association. He has publications in both the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He lectures to the general public as well as medical colleagues. Dr. Deroy has special interest in Pediatrics, Sports Medicine, Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery, and Wound Care.
Dr. Deroy is licensed to practice podiatric medicine in Maryland and Virginia. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Deroy has active privileges at Doctor's Community Hospital and is a staff physician for the Center for Wound Healing at Doctor's Community Hospital. When not doctoring feet, Dr. Deroy loves to play tennis and spend time with his family. A native of Rhode Island, he is an avid Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics fan.
